Hills Made Easy
Please note this is currently a 1:1 Outside Session Only. In two parts each lasting up to two hours.
Whether it is on trail or fell, introducing hills into your training requires a little thought and practice, as does the ability to run them efficiently and with confidence. This coached two part course will address the essentials of tackling the ups and downs of running.
Each course part is designed to accommodate runners of all levels, whether you are venturing onto the trails for the first time or want to refine and improve your skills.
The objective of the two part course is to ensure those taking part gain an understanding of how to introduce hill training into their schedule, how they will benefit from doing so, and an introduction to what good technique looks like across a variety of terrain.
To participate runners should be able to cover around 5km including some hill practice. This will be broken up with some technique demonstrations and chances to practice.
All runners need to attend wearing suitable trail running shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. A spare warm layer and waterproof is advisable, as is a drink. Each part of the workshop will last approximately 90 minutes.
