We feel that running technique is a fundamental part of any training plan. Running is often billed as just putting on a pair of shoes and heading our the door, however most of us soon find there is more to it than that.
Most injuries and problems associated with running come down to how you are moving. Running is a series of repetitive movements and so you are loading the same joints and tissues in the same way with every step. It makes sense that if you are not moving optimally this can cause a problem somewhere down the line. Changing the way you load these structures can be both an easy way to overcome injury and a way to move more efficiently.
If you want to run faster for longer then you will need to look at how you are moving at some point. It will help you get more from your body for less effort and damage.
Our technique workshops can be booked on a one to one basis or as part of one of our workshops on a variety of terrains. The sessions will focus on using running drills to strengthen and improve your movement and then translating that into a run.
