Kate is lead physiotherapist at Accelerate Performance Centre. Her areas of expertise include:
- Sports massage
- Running movement and technique
- Injury diagnosis and treatment
Kate has extensive knowledge of acute and chronic soft tissue injuries, using a range of methods to treat and manage them. This can range from home exercise programmes to soft tissue massage and myofascial release, manipulation of joints, dynamic and static taping techniques.
Kate completed her dissertation in the gait lab at Nottingham City Hospital, measuring the effects of ankle taping on ground reaction forces at the foot. She has worked across disciplines but has specialisms in rheumatology, orthopaedics, neuromusculoskeletal medicine and hydrotherapy, She has level 2 accreditation in ACT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and is trained in Cyriax orthopaedic assessment and treatment. Exercise may be given on prescription and manual therapies and massage may be offered to supplement and optimise the effects. She is experienced working with both children and adults and offers both face to face and virtual appointments.

Kate was an adolescent heptathlete but these days is more likely to be found to be out running with Denby Dale Athletics Club or having fun running along local footpaths and trails.
