Accelerate Performance Centre Approach for Minimising Risk Associated with Covid-19 Transmission and Clinic Operation.

Overview: In line with government policy and guidelines the objective of our procedures surrounding the transmission of Covid-19 is to minimise as reasonably possible the spread of this disease. In doing so the prime concern is the health and safety of all those that work at the Accelerate Performance Centre, the Accelerate Run Store and all those visiting.
This Policy falls into two parts: Visiting the Clinic and for Coaching (outside).

Video consultations are available. Many conditions can be managed and treated successfully in this manner.

  1. Visiting the Clinic
Key to this will be a series of steps taken, summarised as follows:
  • A Clean clinic, shop and working environment. A full clean of all areas of the clinic and store with anti-viral disinfectant at the end of the working day.
  • All clinic and customer areas cleaned with disinfectant between appointments
  • All visitors to the clinic and store must first wash their hands or sanitize them upon arrival
  • All customers must bring their own Face Masks and wear them whilst in the building
  • Social distancing of 2meters for all visitors and staff, when not being treated within the clinic.

For the clinicians treating you face masks and eye coverings will also be compulsory at this time as are disposable aprons and where appropriate gloves.  Distancing will be maintained where possible in the treatment room and hands on will be kept to a minimum.

  • We would ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. Please come alone. If a carer needs to accompany you then please arrange this in advance.
  • If you are early then please wait outside as it is likely the clinic room will be in the process of being prepared prior to your appointment. There is no waiting area or customer seating area within the store at this time.
  • Upon arrival at the store you will be asked to sanitise your hands and will be directed to the clinic you will be attending.
  • All visitors to the clinic will be asked to complete a Covid Screen prior to entering the treatment area.

Thank you for taking the time to read though this health and safety policy. To arrange an appointment, please book here
For those also wishing to visit the Accelerate Running Store at this time you will also be asked to make an appointment. You can do this by visiting the store’s website here

   2.   Coaching (outside)
Key to this will be a series of steps taken, summarised as follows:

  • Social distancing of 2 meters will be maintained.
  • Only limited equipment will be used, if needed, handled by the coach only.
  • Meeting points will be outside, agreed in advance.
  • Group Coaching will be limited to six participants per coach, unless dictated otherwise by government or sport governing body guidelines.
  • Full participant contact details, in line with NHS Track and Trace guidelines, must be gathered in advance (inline with GDPR).
  • Athletes and coaches should all carry a protective mask and gloves in case of injury support or accident.

In all situations please be aware that under the guidelines for  track and trace, we may be required to share personal details in the event that we are contacted.

If you have any questions or concerns at this time then please do not hesitate to get in touch:
